A basic hotel in an excellent location

The best thing about the hotel is the location. If you like walking then you're not far from the main tourist attractions like the Pantheon, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It's just a 10 minute walk to/from the main Rome terminas railway station. There's plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel. In fact there's a great restaurant called Tosca on the corner of the same hotel building. I would describe the hotel as basic with friendly staff and clean rooms. Our bathroom did have a kind of damp smell but not so bad that we needed to complain. It's an old building so I imagine the plumbing may not be the best, although everything did work as it should. We weren't too keen on the basic looking buffet breakfast do didn't take that option. Remember to take cash to pay for the city tax when you check out!

I absolutely loved this hotel. Great location . Easy to walk to main attractions. Close to train station and metro. Lovely rooms that were so clean . In fact all areas of this hotel was spotless. Friendly and helpful staff . Will definitely be rebooking when we visit again. Breakfast lovely and plentiful.

This was our third stay at Hotel Lirico. For a busy Rome holiday this hotel is perfect for location and facilities. The staff are amazing, they are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Daily housekeeping is such a treat when you've had a busy day out and get back to your room with fresh towels and a very well made bed (we did make our own bed but they still re-made it like it had never been slept in, perfect). I thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel. Thank you so much to all of you at Lirico...until the next time...

Location was very good. Walkable (or scooter) to all major sites. Morning breakfast was very good and was less expensive than any local restaurants. Staff was friendly. Look for deals (we got a discount for paying cash). Bed/Pillows are a little uncomfortable, but standard for most of the European hotels we visited. NOTE: you have to walk up a tall flight of stairs to get to the hotel. If that's a challenge for you, this isn't the right hotel for you.

Stayed at Lirico for 6 nights Feb 2024. The hotel is well situated close to the main railway & 2 metro stations. Easy to find and well located for seeing Rome and its attractions. The Road it on is quiet with many different places to eat and has small but adequate supermarkets within 20 Meters. The hotel itself was perfect for our needs, room was a good size, decorated to a good standard & clean with air-conditioning, fridge and hot drink making facilities. Housekeeping was good with change of towels as needed, pleasant friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was cold buffet, with plenty of variety: cereals, breads & croissants, cold meat & cheese, cakes, fruit juices etc, with hot drinks made to order. No complaints or issues would happily stay at this hotel again and recommend to others.
